Sagada - Banawe - Hungduan
VOLUME 1.0.3 - Lumiang Burial Cave and Spelunking in Sumaging Cave

LUMIANG BURIAL CAVE

It was around 3:00 PM (I think) when we started our next adventure for the day. We were dressed in “caving” or “spelunking” get-ups but our 1st destination is the Burial Caves. Our second guide, Sir Aklay (not so sure about how his name is spelled) joined us as we walked from our lodgings, Canaway (pronounced as "ka-na-wai") Guest House. We followed the road south from our lodging house (please refer to the map I included in "The Trip") for about 15 to 20 minutes until the "entrance" or the jump off to the Lumiang Burial Cave.

HAPAO RICE TERRACES
VOLUME 1.0.4 - Hungduan, Ifugao Province

Last month, February, 2011, a group of friends and I visited Sagada, Banawe and Hungduan. The last leg of our trip was a visit to the Hapao Rice Terraces in Hungduan, a municipality of the Ifugao Province.

Sagada - Banawe - Hungduan
Part 2 - Echo Valley and the Hanging Coffins

I already knew that our adventure would involve a lot of trekking and climbing, but I was still unprepared for most of it (no thanks to my just recovering from flu, my non stop smoking and not to mention my weight). Being the biggest in the group, I always fell back during our treks. Thank God the “Gang” were patient enough to wait (or else I would have starved them being the self-designated cook and owner of the stove and cook set, *evil laughter*).

NOTE: This post is not a "guide" but an account of our trip to Sagada and the other places we visited. However, I will try to include as much information that might be useful as possible.
